Solve Following Lp Problem Graphically Maximize Profit 20×1 10×2 Subject 5×1 4×2 250 2×1 5 Q34269514

Solve the following LP problem graphically.

Maximize profit = 20×1 + 10×2

Subject to: 5×1 + 4×2 ≤ 250

2×1 + 5×2 ≤ 150

x1, x2 ≥ 0

Expert Answer

Here the 1st constraint is 5×1+4×2<=250

Take x2 = 0 and so 5×1 = 250 or x1 = 50.

Now take x1 = 0 and so 4×2 = 250 or x2 = 62.5

Thus for the 1st constraint the line will have points – 50 and62.5 for x1 and x2

The 2nd constraint is 2×1+5×2<=150

Take x2 = 0 and so 2×1 = 150 and x1 = 75

Now take x1 = 0 and so 5×2 = 150 and x2 =
