Emotional contagion: It is the process where one person is influenced by the emotions of other persons or around them. For example mimicry, laughter, smiling, affection, discomfort etc. This is a fast process with no verbal communication.
From my work experience, I am working as a nurse in the hospital and there is a pre-linguistic baby laughing or crying upon hearing another baby. It means if a baby is hearing the voice of another baby then another baby reacts this is the real example of emotional contagion.
