a. Industrial Revolution– A major change thattook place during the industrial revolution was the standardizationof gauging systems and moving away from skilled craftsmen. The wayof craftsman production was slow and costly and possessed noeconomies of scale. With the development of the gauging system theneed for customer made good decreased.
