Review of AHIMA Domains
We will focus on some review and an overall assessment of the knowledge of the six AHIMA domains required for the RHIT exam.
- Assume you are working in a health information role (such as coder,release of information, registry, director, etc.) in a hospital,physician office, insurance company, or similar employer. Specify thechosen setting and the chosen role. From that chosen perspective,describe what your job entails in detail, and comment on some ethicalaspects you should be familiar with.
- Discuss the structure of the RHIT exam, including the domains,number of questions, time provided, materials you may or may not beallowed
