Question Description
For the Reader-Response Essay, students as asked to choose one of the sources they plan to use for the final research essay and explain the text’s effectiveness.
- Choose any source (article, book, webpage) that can be used to support the research essay’s argument.
- Explain how it will be helpful in supporting the argument for your own research essay.
The point of the reader-response is for students to learn how to respond critically to the sources they find. Do not be a passive reader who blindly accepts the information presented. Be a skeptical, critical thinker when analyzing sources.
