What Are the Project Management KnowledgeAreas?

PMI created a set of standard terminology and guidelines forproject management, which is known as the project managementknowledge areas. This is an evolving standard that is updatedperiodically in its PMBOK.

Project management knowledge areas coincide with the processgroups, which are project initiation, project planning, projectexecution, monitoring and controlling, and project closing. Theseare the chronological phases that every project goes through.
