This is the most important part of any organizations work to identify what processes or activities are adding values to the product and what processes or activities are non-value adding.
Any process or activity which is important to produce a product in terms of giving it shape, color etc. or which is of utmost important part of production is considered as value adding activity. For ex. Painting a product, or finishing a product on lathe machine to give it a particular shape.
