HL7 deals with the daily movements of patients medicines and practitioners. Tiny bit of information are communicated and the event is not looked upon as whole but as a sum of these tiny bits with the recent being the most accurate.
X12 deals with the event information at a macro level…from the birds eye. Information is intl transmitted once the whole event details are complete.
