Both consider a project after it is over or some phase of it is over.
However, there are some major differences as retrospectives can be at the end of a project or when a stage of it is over and we want to get an idea of the progress made as it unfolds. We consider lessons learned at the end mostly.
Retrospectives concern release of a product or service but lessons concern what we learn from any failure
