Trauma and trauma related disorders is a new category in DSM V. A great deal of interest and research have been generated as a result.

Is it possible for psychologically well adjusted persons to develop PTSD in the face of a traumatic event, or should a mentally healthy person be expected to cope well with even extraordinary stressors without developing symptoms of a disorder? (Keep in mind that not everyone develops this disorder in the face of trauma.) (10pts.)
