At a point toward the endof the 1990’s, it was estimated that 75% of all the major systemprojects failed, were significantly over budget, or were completedlate. Many did not meet customer (requester) expectations. Sincethis disastrous time, many companies have embraced formal projectmanagement professionals, tools, and commitment with significantlyimproved results.
