At 6:00pmevery night, he took one crick outside in a case, measured theambient temperature, allowed the cricket to acclimate to thetemperature for 15 minutes, and then listened for the number forchirps for 5 minutes. A new cricket was used each night. Based onthe total number of chirps and the time, he calculated the numberof chirps per second. The data are as follows:
