Scientific method has been often described, and it is not possible,at this date, to say anything very new about it. Nevertheless, itis necessary to describe it if we are to be in a position later toconsider whether any other method of acquiring general knowledgeexists.
In arriving at a scientific law there are three main stages: thefirst consists in observing the significant facts; the second
