I want to share a low-tech example for the TOP(M) perspective (aka the sociotechnical perspective.)
A College I worked at some 25 years ago had 4 computer labs that were arranged as a quad of rooms with hallways around the perimeter. Each lab had a door to the hallways. At the back of each lab was a door into a long narrow office in the center of the quad of labs. This allowed you to move from one lab into another with without going out into the hallways. Unfortunately, this was my office.
The labs were open from 6am to Midnight and
