Expensive – Unions and managements generally feel that arbitration process is as costly as litigation. The fees need to be paid upfront and any renowned set of arbitrators charge as much as the well established attorneys. Moreover, the room rent and other operational costs are absorbed through taxpayer’s money in case of a traditional litigation whereas the parties need to be pay for them in case of arbitration.
