Injury can be defines as the damage that happen to the body. This damage is caused by accidents, falls, weapons, and more. The injuries can be minor or life-threatening. Occupational injury is nothing but the damage that occurs to the body at workplace.
The two types of occupational injuries are: –
Occupational hazards – This include physical hazards (example – extreme temperature), chemical hazards (example – pesticides), biological hazards (example – bacteria and virus) and psychological hazards (example – workplace violence).
Ergonomic hazards – This occurs when the working environment, type of work, etc.
