In Beyond Sustainability: Architecture in the Renewable City, Peter Droege focuses a lot on the no-longer-prominent meaning of sustainability. The rapid globalization has taken a lead and put the nature and environment on a backseat mostly. With the Industrial Revolution, the environmental conditions have been distorted and there has been an abuse of technology and unsustainable methods and processes. Should the category of “sustainable” or “Green” buildings even exist? Shouldn’t all buildings be sustainable or green? As designers, how difficult is it to maintain this balance
