What led to World War I? What could have been avoided? What arguments could you use to show that the outbreak of WWI was inevitable? What arguments could be used to show that, indeed, it was avoidable? What level of analysis did you use to analyze the reasons for the outbreak of WWI and form your answers to the previous two questions–why this level of analysis?
